Iconic classic diner. Great food and prices. Really nice and attentive staff. Shelly is excellent. She keeps the coffee flowing and has a great energy. We love French Toast. Even when it is busy there is rarely a wait. The diner bar is a great option too. It is an old building, so not the best for ADA but I think they have ways to make a wheelchair work. Outside seating is dog friendly but only sits 2
(Copied this to the top as this is what matters, not Sierras attitude) Despite her, the breakfast was fantastic, good sized portions , blueberry pancakes filled with berries, great chicken fried steak, eggs, will definitely go back maybe she'll smile next time, or, maybe she'll move on to a job at the post office where those people tend to work. I gave service 4 stars BECAUSE of one person, Sierra. I don't know what was wrong in her day but if you let her she will ruinn your breakfast with her her obvious disdain for the clientele and her job. She did it to us 4 times, we watched her do it to a man picking up a to go order who has the nerve to all for butter and syrup, we sat at the counter, which when we first got there they said, "the counter is open seating" but the only seat was by the door and it was cold so we decided to wait the 10 mins for a booth. We were the only ones waiting at this time. Then some people got up at the far end of the counter away from the door and smiling Sierra has stepped up to the counter and we asked if we could take those seats at the counter and take our name off the wait. She said, no, you can't, you have to wait ..... So, Sierra, since I'm guessing you will either read this or be shown it, my wife and I are 20 year private chefs and have been in service for a long time. I immediately went to to the next LOVELY lady that came behind the counter and asked can we, sit, counter, name off wait list, she says "yes, of course, please help yourself". Then Sierra comes around sees us sitting there and just glares. We tried to engage her, cheer her up, after she was rude to the people sitting next to us we heard her say 'i moved here from NY when I was 12", I'm from NY, grew up there and I KNOW how rude NY'ers can be. But your in service, and you either pool tips or your stupid because that behavior will affect your tips, period. She came around and I said to her in my best NYorker accent "did I hear you say your from NY"? She turns and as she walks away said "no, I'm from Arizona. " My wife and I have had to fire many people over the years and we were having a conversation about "leave your problems at home or stay home with them, don't bring them to work". Right as she came back over and was getting some things from under the counter. I know she heard us and she knew we meant her, she in no way tried to hide it . My advice, let her read this and send her home with a warning . If this was our staff I would be so embarrassed if a heard they misbehaved this way, I would send them home. She should be in the back washing dishes not up with guests, she can let her anger out on dirty dishes. It's not fair to the ABSOLUTELY GREAT STAFF YOU HAVE THERE TO SUFFER ON THEIR TIPS FOR ONE BAD APPLE. Despite her, the breakfast was fantastic, good sized portions , blueberry pancakes filled with berries, great chicken fried steak, eggs, will definitely go back maybe she'll smile next time, or, maybe she'll move in to a job at the post office where those people tend to work. PS, we spent $54, $70 with tip. All this and she WASN'T EVEN OUR SERVER.
Such a cute 50’s diner! It’s so homey and customer service is always super nice! You can’t go wrong ordering any comfort food from here! This time I ordered the eggs Benedict! Love coming here, especially for the nostalgic feeling and of course the service!
Customer service is amazing and I always feel welcomed with my family. The food is delicious . Very family orientated and just a warm vibe. My go to meal is corn beef hash or French toast . Great prices too.
Good diner with extremely friendly staff. Everyone here was all smiles and kind. We ordered a hash with eggs and hash browns, and a bowl of chili with hash browns. Everything was good and it made for a hearty lunch.
Oh my goodness!! A friend recommended this place for an all-day breakfast spot and MAN, it was GREAT!!!! I love classic diners. It has that homey old-school vibe, even a pic from “I Love Lucy” (one of my favs). We were greeted with a warm smiling “hello.” It’s quaint and clean with a wonderful staff. Good variety of breakfast options and they allow substitutions*. Lorena was our server. She and the other server were sooo sweet. Even one of the cooks saw me trying to get her attention and called her for me. Speaking of cooks, my food was perrrrfect!!!! I ordered the Healthy Omelette which had egg whites, spinach, broccoli, avocado & more. I switched out the sliced tomato & cottage cheese for hash browns and….wait for it..some of the best blueberry pancakes I’ve had in a loooong time. I had to take off the powdered sugar but they were soooooo good! Aaaand they bring hot syrup (none of that high fructose but real syrup). They were an upcharge but totally worth it!! I cannot wait to get back there the next time I’m in that area! That section of town is filled with Mom & Pop stores.
I met a friend here for lunch. We were sat outside, which was perfect. Our waitress was very attentive and professional. The Rueben and fries were delicious. My guest ordered a cheeseburger and salad, which he said were very good, as well. The prices are a bit high, but that can be said about most places, these days. I highly recommend this place.
